Miami, FL – May 6, 2020 (EmergingGrowth.com NewsWire) — EmergingGrowth.com, a leading independent small cap media portal with an extensive history of providing unparalleled content for the Emerging Growth markets and companies, reports on StrikeForce Technologies, Inc. (OTC Pink: SFOR).
According to an article from Infosecurity Magazine (https://www.infosecurity-magazine.com/news/nintendo-breach-affects-160000/) 1600 user accounts of Nintendo (OTC Pink: NTDOY) have been accessed by hackers since early April.
They reported that hackers have been using NNIDs “obtained illegally by some means other than our service” to access user accounts and buy digital items using stored cards. Unauthorized third parties may also have been able to view personal information including name, date of birth, gender, country/region and email address. Aside from doing away with NNID log-ins to Nintendo accounts, Nintendo is resetting passwords that may have been used illegally.
“The faster and larger an organization grows, so does it vulnerabilities”, says Mark L. Kay, CEO of StrikeForce Technologies. While end users are usually the weakest link in any company, third party vendors and poorly programed api interfaces must also be considered as exploitable. The gaming industry accounted for around 22% of attacks spotted by Akamai over a 17-month period.
Some other larger organizations that can be vulnerable to similar attacks are Activision (NASDAQ: ATVI) Sony (NYSE: SNE), Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) Zynga (NASDAQ: ZNGA) not to mention the game manufactures including Electronic Arts (NYSE: EA), Take Two (NASDAQ: TTWO), Ubisoft (NASDAQ: UBSFF) and Konami (NASDAQ: KNMCY).
“That’s why we are so excited about our ProtectID Out-of-Band Authentication system” says Kay, we are both, the inventor and patent holder. To learn more about how our ProtectID Out-of-Band Authentication system can protect your network, your customers, your transactions and your third party vendors, visit us at www.strikeforcetech.com. I’m sure Nintendo wished they had our system.
