U.S. stocks rebounded a day after seeing steep declines due the interest rate hike. The Dow Jones closed up 0.30%, the S&P 500 rallied 0.39%, and the Nasdaq saw gain of 0.37% on Thursday, December 15, 2016. Precious metal commodities saw sharp declines, with silver dropping almost 7% and gold prices closed down nearly 3%. Crude oil prices saw very slight gains of 0.10% on Thursday. As expected, bonds continued to rally Thursday, with the 10-Year Treasury jumping 2.18% on the day.

Micro-cap stocks did not fare as well on Thursday, however. Eight of the ten micro-cap indices posted declines, with the OTCQB Venture Index’s 0.98% drop leading the declines. The only two indices to see positive returns on Thursday, was the OTCQX Banks Index (0.36%) and the OTCQX U.S. Index (0.19%).

  • PetroGas Company (OTC Pink: PTCO) +111.14%: The oil & gas company soared 111.14% on Thursday, December 15, 2016.
