U.S. stock markets closed lower on Monday, November 28, 2016, as the post-election win streak comes to an end. Investors continue to await the results and ramifications of the OPEC meeting, while coping with today’s 2% surge in oil prices. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down 0.28%, the S&P 500 fell 0.53%, and the Nasdaq skid 0.56% on Monday.

Micro-cap stocks closed mostly lower, following the lead of the larger cap indices. Seven of the ten micro-cap indices posted negative results; which includes five indices with losses greater than 1%. Overall, the worst performing micro-cap index was the OTCM QX ADR 30 Index, which dropped 1.32%. On the other hand, the OTCQB Venture Index had surprising outperformed the board market on Monday, with gain of 1.10%. The other two indices that saw positive results on Monday: OTCQX Banks Index rallied 0.47% and OTCQX Canada Index rallied 0.56%.
