U.S. equities managed to climb back from the lows of the day, but still closed Tuesday in negative territory. Rising tensions in Syria and Korean Peninsula are forcing investors to reassess their portfolio risk. Overall, the Dow Jones Industrial Average skid 0.03%, S&P 500 dropped 0.14%, and Nasdaq declined 0.24%, during trading on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. Precious metals soared and oil bounced higher after a supply drawdown: crude oil rallied 0.64%, gold jumped 1.74%, and silver soared 2.20%.

Despite weakness in larger stock averages, micro-cap indices were largely in rally mode on Tuesday. Leading the rally was the OTCQX Canada Index’s 1.53% surge. The only loser on the day was the OTCQX Banks Index, which skid 0.03%.
