Micro-cap stocks rebounded along with large-cap stocks on Monday, November 7, 2016. However, all ten micro-cap stock indices managed to underperform the S&P 500 today, despite strong gains. The S&P 500 managed to post a 2.22% gain on the day, the strongest returns since March 2016. Only two micro-cap indices managed to buck the overall rally today and post losses for the day: OTCQX Banks Index and the OTCQX U.S. Index. The rally comes after one of the largest losing streaks in decades for large-cap indices and a second FBI announcement that cleared Hillary Clinton of any criminal charges relating to her use of a private email server. Tomorrow’s price action should be interesting.
